Shiatsu

Nuru member

Shiatsu is a Japanese bodywork practice that uses finger, thumb, palm, and elbow pressure along the body's energy meridians to restore balance and promote the free flow of qi. It is both deeply therapeutic and profoundly relaxing.

Cultural origin

Japan — rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine principles of qi and meridian theory.

What a session involves

Performed fully clothed on a floor mat. The practitioner applies rhythmic pressure along meridians and may incorporate stretching and joint mobilisation. Sessions last 60–90 minutes.

Who it's for

Anyone seeking deep relaxation, energy balancing, or support for stress, fatigue, digestive issues, or musculoskeletal pain.
