Lomi Lomi

Nuru member

Lomi Lomi is a Hawaiian healing massage that uses long, flowing strokes reminiscent of ocean waves, combined with prayer, breath, and intention. It is as much a spiritual practice as a physical one, working to release tension held in both body and memory.

Cultural origin

Hawaii — a sacred healing practice of the native Hawaiian people, traditionally passed down through family lineages.

What a session involves

Sessions use warm oil and continuous flowing strokes across the whole body, often using forearms as well as hands. The experience is deeply immersive and often emotionally as well as physically releasing. 90 minutes to 2 hours.

Who it's for

Anyone open to a holistic healing experience that goes beyond the physical. Particularly powerful for those carrying grief, transition, or emotional holding.
